Korres Lip Butters

So I would say that the buzz about these started about 3 years ago but I never actually brought any until recently. To this day they are still talked about everywhere in the "blogger" world. I never understood why.... until I brought them.

These lip butters are super soft and melt the second they come in contact with your skin. They are amazingly moisturising and leave a subtle hint of colour. So I picked up 3 of these baby's Wild Rose, Guava and Pomegranate. I have to say Pomegranate is my favourite, its a lovely coral colour and has a lovely sweet scent that isn't overpowering in the slightest.

Korres is a natural brand so these lip butters have no nasty's in them (parabens, sulphates and so on)

Overall i completely understand the hype about these now as they just are the perfect "throw in your handbag" product. I'm excited to rock Wild Rose over winter as its a bit of a darker colour so its perfect for the festive season.

InStyler Rotating Iron

The only way I can describe this contraption is a pimped up mix between a curler and straighter. It is truly bazaar. I have been trying it out for a couple of months now and I thought it was about time I shared my thoughts with you lovely chaps.

InStyler Rotating Iron Purple 32mm **

So when this arrived I was confused. I couldn't work out how it worked what is what and I just didn't understand, was it a hair curler,  a straighter or simply a hair brush with a metal stick attached to it. I just didn't get it. After reading about it more and looking some more I found out it has many different uses. So I thought, I’ll start with straightening my hair, showered, dried my hair, hair oil in, ready to go. Clamp this down on my hair and it makes the most creepy noise, the silver barrel rotates. I don’t know why I didn't realise this as now I see it does say ‘rotating’ barrel all over the packaging. So anyway I straightened my hair and yep it did the job, was I over the moon about the results? Not really but it didn't do anything wrong.

So the next time I used it I thought I would curl my hair, and by Joe this is when this beast works its best. What I found worked best was wrapping your hair round the barrel like a normal hair curler and then closing it so the barrel actually starts to rotate. It creates curls that last all day and that are big and bouncy.
Now since I got this I have actually seen the adverts on the old TV and what they claim you can create with this. Now unless I’m doing something completely wrong I can’t get it to work for the “volume at the roots” aspect of things. I've tried and all I accomplished was a burnt scalp and funny looking hair.
To sum a long rambley review up, am I impressed with the “Instyler rotating Iron” yes and no. I think the whole thing is a bit gimmicky and I’m still not convinced however for curling your hair it does an amazing job. I think this is the perfect item for someone who is looking for a new set of curlers and straighteners as this is 2 in 1. It is on the pricey end of £99 but I do think that they are worth it.

You can pick the InStyler up exclusively from boots online or in stores for £99

Laura Mercier Hand Creme

Ok so if you follow me on twitter or read my posts on a regular basis then you will know that I am addicted to this hand cream, or should I say "creme."
I picked this up probably about a month ago now and I since then I have not used any other hand cream and apply it all the time.

So the smell of this hand cream (creme) is very strong and if you aren't a fan of scented hand creams then stay well away from this baby. It smells of almonds mixed with coconut - funny that seeing as its called "almond coconut milk." It is a very sweet smell and lasts for a long time. However I have found that this scent is a bit like Marmite, you either love it or hate it, so make sure you take a sniff in the shop before you make a purchase!

So although the smell of this is the best thing ever the actual hand cream itself is gorgeous. Its more of a gel consistency and just melts away into your hands leaving them feeling soft and hydrated but not greasy in the slightest. Even if this didn't smell like heaven in a tube I still think i would love it as it is just the perfect hand cream for on the go, you can just smother some of this on and carry on on your ways (without struggling to open door handles because your hands are so slippery)

So this on the pricey side of hand creams, this smaller size is £13 but Im nearly 100% positive that they sell a bigger size but I can't seem to find it any where online. (I picked mine up from SpaceNK)

Make sure you enter my giveaway for your chance to win this hand cream! (link)

TAG: This Or That

So I hadn't really planned anything for todays post so I thought I would do a quick TAG. Its been a while since my last one and I find them really fun to do.

Q: Blush or Bronzer?

A.Bronzer. Day to day I don't use blush, I have naturally rosy cheeks so I don't really like to add to them and I just love my bronzer!

Q: Lipstick or Lip gloss?

A:I am 100% a lipstick girl, I can't stand lip gloss. I find it sticky and urg I just don't like how it feels. Lipstick all the way for me

Q: Eyeliner or Mascara?

A: Mascara. This was a tricky one and the only reason I went for mascara is because if I wore eyeliner without mascara it would just look strange but I don't mind mascara without eyeliner.

Q: Foundation or Concealer?

A: This is a easy one for me, foundation. Everyday I don't wear concealer, mainly for the reason that I end up waking up 10 minutes before I need to leave my house and so I rush and skip out steps but also I haven't found a concealer that completely floats my boat.

Q: Neutral or Colour Eyeshadow?

A:Neutral for ever. I am obsessed with neutral eyeshadows, MAC, urban decay, stila, sleek, MUA- you name a neutral palette I'll have it.

Q: Loose or Pressed Eyeshadow?

A: As much as I do like the pigmentation and look of loose eyeshadows they are just so messy and unpractical so I'd have to say pressed.

Q: Brushes or Sponges?

A: Again, another easy one, brushes for me. I don't like using sponges, I find you get a much nicer finish with brushes and I find them a lot more hygienic.

I tag all of YOU to do this tag! - tweet me with your blog post links if you do it!

Lush Cinders Bath Bomb

"Almond essential oil, sweet orange oil and cinnamon leaf oil give a smooth fruity scent with a touch of spice. It lifts the mind and lingers on the skin"

So Lush was a shop that years ago I hated and couldn't even walk past without finding it so overpowering and full on- I think lots of people feel this way about it. However when I started reading blogs and looking into things I kept hearing loads of wonderful great things about their products. So I took the plunge one day and took a shopping list recommended by Lucy from LucyWrites (link) and ignored the over powering smell and just picked up a few products. I loved the products. Individually the products are less over powering and actually are pretty nice. I get bits and bobs from lush throughout the year- odd face mask here, bath bomb there, but the Christmas collection is when I go crazy and want everything. It all smells so Christmasy and makes you feel all warm and cosy.

To sum up a very long story I picked up lots of the Christmas collection and my new favourite this year is Cinders bath bomb. It smells of cinnamon and spices. The best way I can describe it is imagine the smell of Christmas, now shove all of that into a bath bomb and bobs your uncle you've made a Cinders bath bomb.

It has popping candy on the top of it - which is meant to represent the crackling of a fire, which I don't quite understand because your in a bath.... Anyway I didn't even notice the popping candy until I tried to listen for it and yes you can hear it but its nothing special.

Not only is this just the best bath bomb ever it is one of the cheapest from the Christmas collection (always a plus!) at £2.25 each. Sometimes I split it in half and so I get 2 uses out of one bath bomb but other times I'm just to lazy and throw the whole thing in.

To conclude this long ramble of a post about a bath bomb this is just the perfect thing to put in your bath on a Sunday evening when you want to be relaxed, warm and want to feel a bit festive. So if you were, like me, a bit scared and overwhelmed by Lush all I can say is go in and try this bath bomb and you will not regret it!

Origins VitaZing

So Origins VitaZing is one of those endlessly talked about products in the beauty world so I thought it was time I picked it up and tried it for myself.

VitaZing is a moisturiser that has a slight "tint" to it. However it is not a tinter moisturiser. VitaZing is a real "pick me up" product. It makes your skin glowy, healthy looking and slightly more tanned.

When you first use VitaZing out of the bottle it is a white liquid with little brown dots in it (the sheer tint). When you work it into your skin these burst and create a natural tint. Its the perfect moisturiser for the days where you don't want to wear make up or your just popping to the shops but you just want a bit of something to make you feel more confident.

Not only can you just wear it on its own but I actually use it as my daily moisturiser under make up. I find that it doesn't make me too oily (its oil free) and just gives my skin a extra boost. I think this would be perfect with anyone who has normal - oily skin types, people with dry skin might not feel it gives them enough moisture.

The only downside to this product is the hefty price tag. £27 for 50ml. Its pretty expensive however saying that you do only need a pea size amount daily. If you use to much it won't sink into your skin and just looks like you've applied shiny foundation that hasn't been worked in properly.

I really need to try more Origins products as everything I've tried I've loved!

Let me know what you favourite Origins product is

MAC Christmas Collection - Tenderly Warm Pigments

So as I'm sure most of you know the MAC Christmas collection came out last Thursday in the UK. It was a very exciting day for all us beauty people! I decided this year I would have a look around at all of it and only buy things I will actually use all year round- last year I went a bit crazy and brought things just because they were in the collection and have never actually used them!
So after looking around the collection I thought that the packaging is really cute but the actual products and sets themselves are a bit average Joe. I only actually ended up buying 1 thing from it and i'm happy with my purchase. I picked up the Guilty Passions: 4 Tenderly Warm Crushed Metallic Pigments.

So this set comes with 4 colours Ever Elegant, Silk Stocking, Darling Coquette and Rose Light. At first looks I didn't think I would like Rose Light as its very pink and "rose" ( hence the name) but actually I wore it yesterday lightly pattered over my everyday make up and it looked really pretty and not to pink. Silk Stocking and Darling Coquette are both champagne colours, Silk stocking more yellow based and Darling Coquette more pink. Ever Elegant is a rich reddish brown and perfect for a darker evening look.

The thing I found with these pigments is its more of a pressing them onto your eyes motion, this can mean that they are rather tricky when blending in the crease as I found the colour got more intense the more I blended.

Overall I think this is the perfect neutral pigment set for pretty much everyone. The MAC Christmas collection make perfect gifts as its reasonably priced and well, everyone likes a bit of MAC in their life.

Updated MAC neutral palette

So back in January I posted my MAC neutral palette but I thought it was time to update you guys on whats in it at the moment. A lot has stayed the same but a few newbies might have sneakily worked their way in.

Firstly can I just saw how much I love the new palette!? So much easier to see whats inside and overall they just look so sleek and modern and beautiful! The only downside, the price of these badboys. So the palette comes as two parts- but you need to buy both!?  The actual palette costs £14.00 and the part that separates all the eyeshadows costs £6.50. So this comes to a breath taking £19.50 for just a empty palette. (Price didn't obviously stop me though!)

So my this palette is my 'everyday' palette that changes a lot however it is normally always filled with the more neutral eye shadows as that's what I like to wear out.

From top left to right : Shroom, All that glitters, Honeylustful, Gleam, Texture, Woodwinked, Antiqued, Trax, Sable, Satin Taupe, Mulch, Night Manoeuvres- from a collection years ago,Embark, Handwritten, Carbon.

I am a massive fan of MAC eye shadows, I think they are so pigmented and blend so well creating just the perfect eye shadows. Not only this but they have a huuuuge range of colours so everyone can find something that they like and that suits them. I always recommend MAC eye shadows as a good "first" high end eye shadow. My friend recently wanted some eye shadows and I  suggested that she got the 2 pan palette and filled it up with a neutral base (all that glitters) and a darker brown for the crease (espresso).

MAC eye shadows are £12 or £10 for just the pan to go in your palette. (These have increased in price haven't they?)

Whats your favourite MAC eyeshadows?

Mini Essie Haul

Ok so these "small" hauls need to stop because they all add together to create a mental amount of Essie.

So I picked up 3 shades, "stylenomics", "don't sweater it" and "skirting the issue". All 3 of these are very Autum/Winter shades. I got so used to buying pastel bright coloured that it felt a bit strange going to for dark colours. "stylenomics" is a dark dark green, almost looks black in some lights but it is so beautiful and glossy. "Don't sweater it" is if anyone
knows Barry M mushroom, it's pretty much identical. In the Superdrug lighting I thought it
was a lot lighter than it actually is but oh well, I still really like. Lastly is "skirting the issue" this is a true winter /Autum colour. A dark deep red. It's just a classic nail polish however I don't own anything like it! (that was my excuse for getting another Essie polish)

I am currently rocking Stylenomics and love it. As always the quality of the Essie polishes are just amazing and the new brushes make life a lot easier!!

What Essie polishs should I buy next?

(Currently Essie Polishes are 3 for 2 in Boots!- BARGAIN)

"If we didn't look at the price" Christmas Wishlist

So here is my "Christmas Wishlist" if I could have ANYTHING in the world and I didn't have to worry about the price of things.

Jimmy Choo Tyler studded leather IPad sleeve - £295. So this seems on the rather pricey side (ok, very pricey) but I can't find any cheaper alternatives. I really want a leather studded IPad case that DOESN'T cost nearly as much as the IPad itself.

Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay Cologne - £38.00 for 30ml or £78.00 for 100ml. I haven't           ever owned anything from Jo Malone before but I always go into their shop and cover myself head to toe in their gorgeous perfumes.

Nails Inc Bling It On Rocks - £20. I really want to try these! They look amazing and very Christmas Party.

Babyliss Pro Ceramic dial A Heat Tong - £19.95 in 24 inch. Need some new hair curlers and the ones I have are really thin and create tight locks whereas I prefer big bouncy loose curls.

Yves Saint Laurent Arty Oval Ring - £180 (ok maybe a copy of this!) Although one day I do want a real one as its so pretty.

NARS Andy Warhol Highlighting Blush in "Satellite of Love" - £21. Apparently this is the perfect blush/ highlighter.

Nike Blazers in Black - £65. I'm getting bored of throwing on the UGGS but I want something easy that goes with everything and I love these Nike Blazers. Not everyones a fan but you can't please everyone!

Apple MacBook Pro - £1,799 <-- Since when did these get SO expensive

What would be on your Dream Christmas Wishlist?

Next Goody Bag

So If you read my post about the Next event (click here) then you will know that last week I attended the Next Event. It was an amazing night and to top it all off we received goody bags to try some of the products.

So as I said in my last post I was really impressed with the quality and price of the Next 'beauty' products. Especially with the home scents and perfumes. I received 4 items in my goody bag- a room diffuser, perfume, body scrub and beauty palette. What I felt let down the whole Next Beauty range is the packaging for the Beauty Palette, it feels really cheap and not that great quality- however the products inside it are actually alright! From my goody bag there were 2 clear winners for me - the Room diffuser and Perfume.

Next's new home scents and perfumes full under 4 categories that they've named after different cities - New York, Paris, London and Milan. They all have completely different scents but are all amazing. I found that I liked the Paris in candle form yet preferred the London perfume. So it all works out and you can mix and match to what you like.
In my goody bag I got to try the Milan "Luxury reed diffuser" and the New York "perfume."
They are amazing. Personally the perfume is more of an evening perfume as its quite over powering and strong - I don't think it was one that I picked up for liking the scent but it actually is quite nice! I got told this was £8 for 50ml however on the website I can only see £12 for 100ml. But either way its really cheap and its pretty good quality.
As for the room diffuser. Well lets just say my rooms smells like the sexiest candle/perfume shop ever. Milan is very fruity and with a slight floral hint. Its amazing, I don't know how else to describe it. And for only £18! I really want to try some of the other scents and just scatter them everywhere.

Favourite Highlighters

So I think highlighters are my new favourite thing. They just make your skin look so glowy and healthy. Although I like dewy skin in summer I think its equally important in winter as you don't want to look pale and "dead"

So I've narrowed it down to my top 3. First is Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel which is a liquid highlighter, this is more of a bronzy highlighter. Its beautiful when you've got a tan but also adds just the right amount of colour in the winter.
Next is the well known and loved MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in "Soft and Gentle". This is my most recent purchased and since i brought it I wear it nearly every day. Its the perfect natural highlighter that looks really natural and is just so easy to throw on.
Last is the MAC Lustre Drops in "Pink Rebel". I like this to add just a drop or two to my foundation. It really enhances your skin when your having a dull skin day and your skin just doesn't look its normal self.

Next Event- Picture Heavy!

So I was lucky enough to be invited to the NEXT Blogger Event evening. It was held in a beautiful hotel in London. I didn't really know what to expect as I hadn't heard that much about NEXT's makeup range however I was blown away and pleasantly surprised.

I don't know if I was just out of the loop or being stupid but I didn't know that NEXT sells other brands of makeup?! They actually sell quite a few amazing brands, including St. Tropez, Models Own, Burts Bees and more!

I think I was most attracted to the gorgeous Models Own nail polishes.

One of NEXTS own brand line is "Just Pink." As i mentioned before I was pleasantly surprised. I actually really liked the "Just Pink" line, the scent smelt so expensive and luxurious however the price is very reasonable.

NEXT's big launch was the new "home scent" range. They brought out 4 different scents represented by 4 city's- London, Milan, Paris, New York. Each of these have candles, perfume, diffuses, body scrubs and more! My personal favourite was Paris. I will be picking up some of their candles very soon as they are very affordable and smell gorj!

I think we covered ourselves head to toe in trying all the different perfumes. But again, I didn't know NEXT sold all of these brands!? Marc Jacobs, DKNY, Diesel etc...

I met so many lovely people there. It was so nice to mix with other bloggers and chat about "blogger" things. This is the lovely Em and Meg  (go follow if you don't already! They have AMAZING blogs!)

Overall It was a really fun night and it has changed my mind about NEXT. I will be going in and looking at their makeup/home scents over the next few weeks!

Review: Origins Clear Improvement Mask

So I've been trying this mask for about 5 weeks now and I thought I'd give it a little review.
I haven't always been a fan of face masks as I thought that they brought everything out and up (ew) but I never got to the stage that they actually cleared up my skin.
However I decided to splurge out and get this mask as I heard Anna from viviannadoesmakeup rave about it.
Its now a fact. I love masks.
This mask hasn't cleared up my skin spots wise but it has completely got rid of any blackheads and has improved the appearance of my skin overall.
I love it.
I use try and use it twice a week - sometimes I forget.
It can be quite drying so I would not recommend this for anyone who doesn't have oily skin. You might be able to get away with using it if you have normal skin but be careful!
Overall this mask is amazing! I love it and I will be trying out more Origins products.

What Origins products do you recommend?
