Garnier BB cream is my go to foundation. I wear it every day for college. It really helps my skin and is natural enough to make it look like your not wearing make up. The foundation I use if i'm going out in the day time or evening is bourjois healthy mix serum. It gives good coverage without looking cakey. The powder I set my make up with EVERYDAY is clinique powder. I have tried other powders but by far this is my favourite. If im going out and making an effort I use Clarins Beauty Flash Balm before I put my make up on, this is beautiful, it makes your skin naturally glow. I also spray my face with fix + after i finish my foundation routine, this stops it from looking cakey.

I'm not really into concealers but if I do use one I use the Laura Mercier undercover Pot. I use this on any blemishes I have or if I want more coverage on my cheeks.

I love highlighters. These two have been my favourites for the whole year. Its the well known high beam by benefit, this is anctually my second bottle. You can also mix this in with your foundation if you want a glow, I did this a lot in summer. My favourite powder highlighter is albatross by NARS. Its got quite a lot of gold in it so if you prefer a pink highlighter then this might not be the right one for you

The blushes I reach for the most arn't really light pink ones, there more the deep ones. My favourite powder blush is Torrid by NARS, this is a deap coral colour with some shimmer in it, but not to much! I personally prefer powder blushes of cream as I find cream can sometimes just slide of your face but this is one I've been reaching for alot during the colder months. Its Ladyblush by MAC. Its the same sort of colour than Torrid just without the shimmer.

Last but not least, my bronzer. This is very popular bronzer and I'm pretty sure everyone has heard of it. I got this at the beginning of the year and have been using it most days. Its mind blowingly expensive but its defiantly worth it! I love it.

Part 2 will be coming soon with more products.

Hope you all had a wonderful year!

Christmas Presents! (Beauty)

Long time no see ! I've been slacking on the blog posts, it being Christmas and all so I thought I would do post on the Beauty related presents I got. I got lots of lovely presents but not to many beauty ones this year! I think my mum's starting to think I have to much!

I've never brought a expensive perfume, I love perfumes I just think that sometimes they can be over pricey. I got Chanel Chance. (I don't know the prices of any of these as they were all x-mas presents.) The sent I love! Its not to mature and just right for me. In my stocking I got Toni&Guy shampoo and deep conditioner. I haven't used this yet but I can't wait to! I also got in my stocking, Laura Mercier baked eye shadow palette, Chanel Rouge Choco Shine lipstick, YSL shocking mascara, MAC eyeliner in coffee, Benefit "they're real." Then from my brother he got me MAC blush in Melba (I told him I wanted it ) and Estee Lauder double wear eye primer.

I also got my first ever Illamasqua products! I've heard so much about Illamasqua but there isn't a shop near me so I have never got anything from there. I got a plain black eyeliner, and some eyelashes in number 14. I haven't worn the eyelashes yet but will be on New Years Eve! The eyeliner is great, really pigmented.

Possible the most expensive thing here is the Philosophy Microdelivery Peel Kit. This product is an intense peel that is meant to clean your skin and pores. I have just used it and my skin is SO soft, I am SO impressed with this. I thought it would sting like hell on my sensitive skin but it didn't at all. I'm using it carefully though as for £60 I can't see myself buying it again for some time.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and got lots of great presents!

Anyone have $510 spare?

It's love.
Sigma recently released there 18k gold collection, when i saw it I was drawn in. THEN I see that they have released a complete brush kit.

This kit has 29 of Sigma's best selling brushes and comes with a very handy travel bag.

...However it is rather pricey, at $510 (which is around £320) that's rather a lot to be spending on make-up brushes. Although it would probably come to £900 if you brought 29 MAC brushes, so it defiantly is a bargain! If I had endless money this is defiantly something I would want! Who know, maybe someone out there is very lucky and will be getting this for Christmas? Anyone asked for it?

Maybe in my next life...

Its a ....... GIVEAWAY!

A nice post today. I am giving any one of you a chance to win a MAC blush of your choice!

The giveaway will be ending on the 6th January. I thought that Christmas is officially over by then and that's really depressing so I thought this would be a nice little prezzy to cheer someone up :)

A few rules!

- You have to be following my blog
-You need to leave a comment on this post telling me your New Years resolution!
and with your email address so I can contact you!

Christmas Eyes!

To continue with the Christmas glittery theme i thought I'd share with you a look I wore out last night at a Christmas Party. ( Well it was a party...and its Christmas... so I'm going to call it a Christmas party?)

Anyway! There are two star products in this look. I got quite a while ago benefit Farenheit fab and loved it but never reached for it. its just so glittery for everyday use and then i forgot about it! I have never seen a cream product to have so much glitter in! I started with this all over my lid.

I then packed on Honeylust over the top and Mulch in the crease (both from MAC)
I then lined my eye with Clinique gel eyeliner in the waterline and with a small flick on top.

To finish the eyes i put lashings of mascara on and used a small brush to place snowflake by bare minerals in the inner eye.
(the eye is alot more glittery than it looks. Camera didn't pick it up to well)

For those who are interested on my face I wore:

- Bourjois Heathly Mix Serum.
- Sleek contour kit
-NARS Torrid
-Channel liquid highlighter

Christmas Nails!

As I said in my last post, I'm obsessed with GLITTER! I've been wearing this nail combo for a couple of weeks now and I will never get bored of it.
I'm wearing Barry M's "Bright Purple" with Rimmel "Disco Ball" over the top. (OPI "Start to Finish" I use as my base coat)

Although glittery nail polish's are a PAIN to get off they do have on advantage, they never chip! I've had this nail look on for about a week now and its got no chipping just a bit of wearing but nothing noticeable. I started off with 2 coats of the Rimmel glitter over the top and though out the week I have topped up. When these photos were taken I have about 3-4 coats on.
The thing I love most about this nail look is, if you hate purple, wear it with blue? The week before last i wore the exact same thing but with Barry M "turquoise" and it looks just as fab! I might change it soon with a different colour? Any recommendations?

Whats your favourite Christmas nails?

Saturday, 17 December 2011

I thought I'd let you guys know what products I've been loving for this festive season. I'm OBSESSED with anything glittery that I can put on my eyes. Its Christmas ? You've got to have a bit of glitter in your life.

The candle I have been loving (along with everyone else on the blogging/youtube community) is the Yankee candle in 'Christmas Cookie.' I ordered this from Debenhams when it was 15% of with free delivery. (I think the offer is ended and I can't find this sent of the candle online any more, maybe they've sold out?) I honestly thought that this sent was going to be the best sent ever. I do love it but its not all its hyped up to be. I personally find that i can't light this candle without my bedroom door being open otherwise it does get over powering and start to become sickly. I do love the sent though. It smells like cookies (hense the name!) I got the largest size that lasts up to 150 hours burning time. Thats burning it solid for what? 6 and a half days!? I dont think i'll ever use it up.

As i said before I am obsessed with glitter at the moment. I will buy anything that contains glitter or that will make your eyes look all christmasy!

The first thing I've been loving (is the cheapest off all) is the MUA eyeshadow trio in innocence. The light colour is amazing for inner corners and really brightens up your eyes. The other two colours are great crease colours. This was £2.50 from Superdrug (BARGAIN!)
I've never had an eye shadow from bare minerals but I was on the hunt for a white glittery pigment and fell in love with 'snowflake.' Personally I thought it was rather pricey for £14.50 but its completely worth it! I put this colour over any eye shadows and it just makes your eyes glitter and look all frosty.
Another loose eye shadows is one from MAC. I really want to get hold on some of their glitters but I don't have a PRO store near me so I can't get hold of them easily. I found this pigment while looking for a new lipstick and it was love at first sight. This will make any gold eye shadow just come to life. I dab this over the top at the end and your eyes look A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
Another product from MAC is from there Christmas collection. I'd walked past it a few times and didn't think much of it. I'm not really a collection person. However I saw this colour and thought that this is like my perfect colour. I use "all that glitters" every day as a base colour and this is very similar personally. It just makes a perfect base colour and I can tell I'm going to use it every day. I am actually going to go pick up a couple of back ups, that's how much I love it! - I don't think I've ever brought anything to be a back up before...
Next is a Topshop eye liner. it doesn't have a colour on it but its one of their metallic. I have a couple of these all different colours and honestly they all look the same on the eyes but I still love them. As its Christmas this eye liner is perfect just to create that bit of silver on your eyes. Its looks amazing in your inner eye.

The last two products are one I've been loving for my face. I'm more of a eye shadow girl that a blush girl. I think because I have acne on my cheeks I don't like to draw attention towards them. However my skin has improved so much (been using proactive- will do a blog post about it soon) and I've been starting to love bronzer's and blushes again. My first one is a bronzer. Its from Lancome and I love it. I personally don't wear a blush when I wear this and i bring it up high onto my cheeks. Its got a rosy pink under tone. The packaging is to die for. I don't own anything from Lancome but I defiantly will be buying some more if all their products are like this! ... Sadly... :'( I dropped mine and it has smashed. Which is annoying as now i don't want to take it anywhere as powder gets everywhere. I still use it at home though.

Lastly is a cream blush from MAC. This colour is a very warm coral and looks amazing in winter. I have been wearing this every day and love it!

What are your winter/Christmas favourites??

My new dressing table

So I've been re-doing my room and I'm using this small chest of drawers to store all my make-up in. I love it, its so cute and matches the rest of my now 'shabby chic' room.

I've used a mirror I found in our house that my parents got years and years ago. It couldn't be more shabby chic. I also found the light hidden away in our house somewhere and brought a new lamp shade from John Lewis.

There was one problem though....

... somehow I need to get all of this and MORE into these draws. I don't want to just chuck everything in, I want it to be organised so I can tell where everything is. What's your make-up storage like? Anyone recommend anything?

NYX Jumbo pencil review/haul

I recently ordered these well known NYX jumbo pencils. Now some of you are probably thinking 'yeah and what?' well in England they don't sell them so we just hear everyone else talking about them but we can't get our hands on them. I was desperate to know why everyone loved them so much. I can now see why.

The colours I got were "Milk", "Bronze", "Gold", "French Fries", "Iced mocha" and "Dark Brown."They are all pretty natural.

No Flash
Milk,Bronze,Gold,French Fries,Iced mocha and Dark Brown.

I brought mine of a selling from the US who had 6 for I think $15.99 + shipping. Even though this is more expensive than the price in america they are still very cheap!
The quality of these are amazing, they are so creamy and pigmented. They glide on so easily so you don't have to scrub your eye to get some colour out like you have to do with some eye shadow pencils. They do crease, not massively and hardly at all if you set them with eye shadow. My favourite has to be "Milk" its perfect in the inner eye to just highlight and make you look more awake. If there is anyone out there that HG eye shadow is satin taupe then "iced mocha" is a creamy version of it, its so pweeety.

Hope your having a relaxing Sunday x

November Favourites!

Sorry for the lateness of this blog post! But these are the products i've been loving this month. Some of them are new, some arn't.

My skins been feeling horrible this month. I have acne prone skin and normally its oily but recently its been very dry and not very pretty looking. I recently brought the MAC Fix+ and tried it out. Sprayed it on my face before makeup and after, I wasn't to impressed. I then read someone's blog (can't remember which one!) but that they spray there foundation brush with it before they blend their foundation. And I love it! It makes blending your foundation a dream!
This moves me onto my new HG foundation brush. The sigma duo fibre F50. I got this ages ago and didn't really like it very much. However using the Fix + I have now fallen in love with this brush. It creates a flawless finish.

My NEW daily foundation routine

  • Start by priming/ moisturising my face with the garnier BB cream - using my sigma duo fibre F50 brush thats sprayed with fix +. (The Garnier BB Cream also adds abit of coverage)
  • I then buff the Bourjois healthy mix serum all over my face- I LOVE this foundation. Its not to heavy and doesn't break me out! (ITS A MIRICLE!) however- the smell of this foundation is horrendous, its way to strong.
  • Next I use my Chanel 'soleil tan de chanel' sheer illumination fluid. I use this on my cheekbones. It adds a really healthy glow.
  • And my foundation is complete.

I am not a blush person however I found this blush in NARS last month and thought it was perfect. Its not one I've ever heard about before and its the first NARS blush I own. This blush is such a beautiful colour however its extremely pigmented! If you have a heavy hand then you need to stay away from this blush. 'RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.' This colour is how I would discribe a autumn/winter blush. Its got some shimmer in but not to crazy amount. Although for £20.50 thats abit mental to pay for a blush! I have a feeling this will be my first and last NARS blush as I just can't afford it!

And for my lips, this is Estee Lauder lipstick. Its in the shade Vanilla Truffle and is the most perfect nude colour ever!! There is one problem, Im to scared to use it as the packerging is so beautiful and once again it was mentally priced. (a list of prices will be at the end.) I've been wearing this with Kiehl's lip balm in mango. This lip balm is the most moisturising lip balm ever, it stops those disgusting winter dry, flaky lips.

Lastly is my MUA eye shadow, I won't bore you all and talk about this palette anymore. Ill post a link to my last blog post which is all about this beautiful 'heaven and earth' palette.

Products mentioned:

Garnier BB Cream - £9.99
Healthy Mix Serum- £10.99
Chanel Illuminating fluid- £31.00
Sigma duo Fibre- $18
Mac Fix+ - £7 (for a mini bottle- 30ml)
MUA 'heaven and earth' - £4
Estee Lauder 'vanilla Truffle' - £18.50
Kiehl's Lip Balm - £9.50
NARS torrid- £20.50

What's your favourites of the month?

I know i'm a bit late to jump on this bandwagon but I brought this palette about a week ago from Superdrug. I had heard so much about it and everyone was loving it. I think I didn't buy it because I don't really need any more eye shadow's however I just couldn't stop myself any longer. 12 eye shadows for £4! this is complete bargain !

The quality of these eye shadows are amazing! They are soft and smooth with brilliant pigmentation. The pallette has a mixture of frosty, shimmery and glittery eyeshadows.

Bottom Row
For those who have been 'uuuming' and 'eering' about spending all that money on the Urban Decay Naked Palette this is a great alternative. The colour ranges from rich dark chocolate, gold, and copper brown to more daytime colours such as taupes and champagne pinks. This palette also contains 3 highlighters!

The MUA Pro range is available at Superdrug in (some) stores and online. Palettes are priced from £4 each.
